THE COMPANIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COMMISSION (CIPC-South Africa) CELEBRATES 2019 WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) DAY

The Companies and Intellectual Property Office (CIPC-South Africa) in collaboration with national partners: the Central University of Technology(CUT) Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), the National Intellectual Property Management Office (NIPMO), Technology Innovation Agency(TIA),Free State Development Corporation (FDC),the Small Enterprise Development Agency(FDC) and the Free State Department of Sports & Recreation, hosted the World Intellectual Property Day Celebrations on 25 and 26 April 2019 in Mangaung, Free State Province, South Africa under the theme “ Reach for Gold: IP and Sports’.

The event hosted high school learners, university students, small and medium enterprises and the general public and incorporated activities such as general talks on IP awareness, live television and radio broadcasts, exhibitions and several interactive sporting activities . Aroadshow was also held for the members of the general public during the week of celebrations.
