On the 6th of October 2015, in the framework of the 55th series of Meetings of member states of WIPO, the 5th BRICS HIPO meeting chaired by the Russian Federation was held.

In the course of the meeting the sides discussed the provisional results of work on drafting and approval of Initiatives on cooperation streams under the BRICS IP Offices cooperation Roadmap, exchanged views on the format of further cooperation and considered the issue of holding the next meeting in Moscow in June-July, 2016.
