Focus on: Generation an IPC and/or CPC Reclassification Work

Description:Development of a methodology, jointly with the BRICS IP Offices, in order to retrieve patent documents which international and/or cooperative classification symbols (IPC and/or CPC) are outdated.

Expected Outcomes:The result of this methodology aims to generate a list of patent documents and their respective classification symbols that became invalid, so that these documents can be reclassified automatically not necessarily to the most accurate one but correct in a broad sense or manually when the most accurate symbol cannot be identified automatically. Whenever possible, the list of documents may be shared between the BRICS IP Offices, showing their respective BRICS family patent documents.
