Project Title:Managing Workload by using patent application volume data

Focus on: Optimize distribution of patent application to examiners, reducing backlog.

Description:Conduct a study to design and evaluate different strategies aiming to properly balance the examiners’ workload, according to the volume of the applications (including the amount of pages per section and other indicators).

Expected Outcomes:Develop means to deal with the increasing volume and number of application in a more homogeneous fashion, towards best practices to balance the workload and optimize the effort to cope with the backlog.
