CNIPA: Intellectual Property Culture Around Us —— Videos about the Artists and Intellectual Property

From April 20 to 26, 2023, China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), National Copyright Administration (NCAC) and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), together with other 18 institutions, successfully held the National Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) Publicity Week in 2023. During the event, in order to further promote the public's awareness and understanding of IPRs, CNIPA, together with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, invited artists in the fields of dance, fine arts, seal carving and vocal music to jointly launch a series of short promotional videos entitled "Intellectual Property Culture Around Us". The series of short videos, showing vivid cases of "Intellectual Property Rights Protecting the Arts and Technology Innovation Empowering Inheritance", have been broadcasted and gained good social response.

Episode and Main Character Introductions

Episode 1: Meng Qingyang - Intellectual Property Protects Aesthetics and Innovation

Meng Qingyang is the principal dancer of China Oriental Performing Arts Group. She is the lead dancer of the original dance " The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting" - a dance depicting the famous painting " A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers" of Song Dynasty. The dance was rewarded the 17th Wenhua Grand Prize which is a Chinese government prize for culture and fine art, and was listed in the white paper Chinese Youth in a New Era released by the State Council Information Office.

 

Episode 2: Wang Guanjun - Intellectual Property Rights Protect the Quality of Art

Wang Guanjun is a professional painter, member of the Academic Committee, and director of the Figure Painting Studio of the Beijing Painting Academy, national first grade artist, and a visiting professor at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts.

 

Episode 3: Luo Pengpeng - Intellectual Property Rights Protect the Inheritance of Techniques

Luo Pengpeng, Director of the Seal Carving Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Art, National First Grade Artist, member of the Seal Carving Committee of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University.

 

Episode 4: Zhao Cong - Intellectual Property Rights Protect Creators' Imagination

Zhao Cong, Director of the Central National Orchestra, Principal Pipa Player, National First Grade Performer.
